The project focused on repurposing the building for efficient and high-quality student living, with a specific focus on structural load-bearing capacity and the facade concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the design brief, the primary emphasis was on the load-bearing and interior fitting concept. The existing load-bearing structure was analyzed and structurally modified to meet the altered loads and desired floor plan layouts of the individual student units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#ea8f1f\"><strong>Structural Concept &amp; Facade Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The design brings together structural modifications and architectural sustainability in an integrated facade and spatial concept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Structural repurposing: Calculating and dimensioning the necessary modifications to the main load-bearing structure to enable a flexible layout of the residential units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Translucent facade architecture: High-quality translucent panels have been integrated into the front facade.
