Wooden canopy

Challenge: The assignment was to design and calculate a wooden canopy. Laminated timber beams were chosen, supported on one side by a wooden column. The laminated timber beams are cantilevered and are not supported at the ends. Instead, a steel tension rod has been installed on the side of the wooden column at a distance from the column. Wooden beams are positioned perpendicular to the laminated timber beams. Furthermore, wind bracing has been installed between a number of wooden columns for stability.
